Kate Ceberano

2023 saw Kate make history once again and rack up 40 years and 30 albums into one of the most enduring and inspirational careers in Australian music.

11 platinum and 8 gold albums, 10 Top 10 albums, 15 Top 40 singles, 3 Countdown awards, 4 ARIA awards from 20 nominations and over 6000 live performances.

I’m Talking’s platinum debut, Bear Witness, brought Kate’s jaw-dropping voice to national attention via their 5 Top 20 singles. It led to stages as historic as Live Aid and Australian Made. Today it’s enshrined among Rolling Stone’s Top 200 Australian Albums of all time.

There’s her record-breaking run with John Farnham in Jesus Christ Superstar, her triple Platinum smash debut solo pop album Brave, her Platinum selling jazz album You’ve Always Got The Blues, her 2014 induction into the Australian Songwriters’ Hall of Fame, Kate was a force of nature from day one.

It’s a story that refreshed yet again with the 2023 ARIA nominated hit ‘My Life Is A Symphony’ album, recorded with Melbourne Symphony Orchestra which went straight to the top of the charts.

In between performances of her sold out orchestra tour across the nation, Ceberano’s career was bestowed with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the annual Australian Women in Music Awards.

Meanwhile she has electrified punters at major music festivals and events such as Big Red Bash, Mundi Mundi Bash, Mushroom 50th, Brighter Days Festival, Savannah in the Round, Sounds of Rock and more.

To cap off a remarkable year, Kate released her memoir “Unsung”, replete with her paintings, song lyrics and embroidery. The book explores how we connect through art and music, giving new expression to Kate’s extraordinary voice.
