2019 – Accommodation

Accommodation will be held at the following hotel. We recommend you book at least 60 days prior to the conference as hotels require unsold rooms to be released at 90, 60 and 30 days prior.

Within 30 days of the conference you will need to contact the hotel directly to see if the Conference rates are still available and whether there is any availability.

All rates are per room, per night and do not include breakfast.

THE HOTEL GRAND CHANCELLOR 

1 Davey Street, Hobart

Mountainside room – $210.00 per night, room only
Harbour View room – $245.00 per night, room only

The Hotel Grand Chancellor overlooks the picturesque and historic Harbour, capturing unspoiled panoramic views of the Derwent River or Mount Wellington and the city. The hotel provides a restaurant and bar; gym, indoor pool and sauna; masseuse plus hair salon, art gallery and parking.

Cancellation Policy:

For any rooms cancelled within 30 days a cancellation fee will be charged which is equal to one night’s accommodation.

Cancellations of room nights within 7 days and no shows will incur the full accommodation amount.

If you need to change or cancel accommodation booking made with Conference Design, please email our team, not the hotel.

Bookings

The online registration form allows you to book available rooms. You need to provide credit card details, which will be forwarded to the hotel to guarantee your booking.

Please email us your accommodation requirements if you have already registered for the Conference.

Extended Bookings

Please email us if you wish to extend your accommodation booking before or after the Conference.

Changes and Cancellations

Please note the cancellation policies listed for each hotel. Cancellations and no-shows will attract a fee of at least one night’s accommodation. However, each hotel’s policy varies and late cancellations and no-shows may be charged for all the nights booked.

Please email us any cancellations and date changes.

Payment

Accommodation and incidental expenses need to be settled using a credit card when you check out.

You can arrange to pay your accommodation using a third-party credit card, e.g. a colleague’s work credit card, by completing the Credit Card Authorisation form below and email it to your confirmed hotel 30-days prior to the conference.

Please email us if you wish to be invoiced for your accommodation with your registration. Any pre-payments made to Conference Design will be forwarded to your hotel. Pre-payments need to be received 30 days prior to the conference.

Early Check-in Requests

Early check-in and late check-out requests are subject to availability on the day and cannot be confirmed by Conference Design.

You can enter special requests for early check-in in the “Special Requests” field of your reservation. The hotel will do its best to accommodate your request on the day. Please enquire about the status of your request at the front desk upon check-in.

The Alabama

At The Alabama each of their seventeen rooms is unique, decorated with original art, vintage touches, and a personal vibe. Located in a gorgeous building in Hobart’s inner city, the Alabama provides the perfect base to explore all that Hobart has to offer. Rooms start from $80 per night.

The Montacute Boutique Bunkhouse

The Montacute has private double rooms, private family rooms, private 2-bed bunkrooms and shared bunkrooms (mixed gender and girls only), starting from $35 per person per night. All rooms feature high quality inner spring mattress,reading lamps, power points, shelves, and free Wi-Fi throughout.

Please note that in the style of a traditional hostel, no rooms have en suite. A range of bathroom facilities are provided.

The Brunswick Hotel
67 Liverpool Street, Hobart

In the middle of Hobart, The Brunswick is only 5 minutes walk from Salamanca Markets and Hobart’s Waterfront. The hotel provides free Wi-Fi throughout the building, has a guest laundry as well as day tour bookings and other services.

The Brunswick hotel has wide rage of rooms from private double en suites, standard doubles, and dorms all ranging from $20 – $85 per person.
